Fundraising
Fund Raising for our charity is a pro-active, entertaining, challenging and rewarding task. There are many ways in which we can raise the necessary funds to support “HELP” and I am sure that there are many other ideas out there for us to try. During the year we have regular events that have proved to be successful like Dinner Dance, Sponsored Walk, Garden Fete, Fashion Show and our Christmas Fair, but we also look for other activities to raise awareness of the charity as well as funding. In this area of the charity, a lot of the “Hard Work” for all of the events is with the individuals who are able to sell Raffle or Draw Tickets and I am always looking to find willing volunteers for this positive and effective task!!!
We also find that being involved with Fund Raising in the Marina Alta, brings us in to contact with many caring, interesting and helpful individuals and groups who, for whatever reason, wish to contribute their time and effort to enable our “Front Line” volunteers carry out their tasks and allows us to support the wider populous and care facilities.
The opportunity to be able to assist an individual or a group with a fund raising activity and then passing on our thanks to them is reward enough for being involved in this area of our charity, as it reminds us that there are many unseen, unnamed and hard working supporters participating and giving of their time and efforts on our behalf.
Finally, the begging bit. I am always happy to assist with a Fund Raising event and even more, I am looking for helpers to enhance our work.
