Voluntary Interpreting Service

This is available at Hospital de Denia in La Xara every weekday from 11 am to 2 pm.

An "On Call" service is available at weekends from 10 am to 4 pm, at the request of the Hospital Medical Staff ONLY.

The "HELP" Reception Desk is situated on the left of the Main Reception Hall of the Hospital de Denia, and is staffed by Volunteers (not interpreters), from 11 am to 2 pm Monday to Friday, to help where possible, and contact Interpreters should they be needed.

Interpreters for Alicante & Valencia

Doctors are now insisting that patients who do not understand or speak Spanish have an interpreter with them. Here are the details of 2 ladies who are willing to accompany patients in Alicante and Valencia.

Alicante: Vanessa Hernandez Peral - Tel 649-606-035. Vanessa charges €12 an hour.

Valencia: Susan SanJuan - Tel 96-274-3530 or 606-517-656. Susan charges a flat fee of €50 but no limit on time.
