"HELP" of Denia and Marina Alta

PRESS and PUBLICITY

The role of Press and Publicity within “HELP” is two fold. Firstly to promote the organization to the general public through the media, (newspapers, magazines and radio), and secondly to keep the members of the organization informed of activities within the organization, both “business” and social.

All the “HELP” fundraising activities are reported on to the press with covering story and photos. The aim being to spread awareness to the public of the activities, the need for continued support, and to offer our thanks and appreciation to both the public and/or organizations who help in raising funds. Similarly where “HELP” has made a special donation of money or equipment, to deserving causes outside of our regular activities, it is also reported on.

For their help in promoting these features we thank our local newspapers, particularly those who feature regular articles on our activities:

CANFALI
COASTAL TRADER
COSTA BLANCA NEWS
EURO WEEKLY NEWS
FEMALE FOCUS
ROUNDTOWN NEWS
THE POST
THE GRAPEVINE

“HELP” also wishes to thank the radio stations that have given us the opportunity to broadcast our cause to the public;

COAST FM
TALK EUROPE and
BAY RADIO who helped promote our July 2009 fundraising event with Javea Golf Club.

To inform our members as to activities within the organization, we provide a quarterly newsletter, which is sent to every member, via email or post. Members are invited to provide any news items of their personal activity within “HELP” that would be of interest to other members. We regularly hold social events for the members and their friends, which are often fundraising events in their own right, (Sponsored walk, Quiz night, etc), and this is how we keep our members informed.

We have also introduced a “News flash” addition to our web site, which is updated on a regular basis, to inform our members (and the public at large), with a report on recent activity or of any forthcoming events.

Our Press and Publicity Officer is Ray Edmonds, who can be contacted on 659-330-451.
