Monday to Friday 9.30 am to 1.30 pm, and Saturday 10.00 am to 1.00 pm.

The “HELP” Charity Shop 'Manageress' is Martha Bohlmeijer who speaks English, Spanish, French, Dutch and German.

The "HELP" of Denia and Marina Alta Charity Shop has been in its current premises since 2008.
The previous shop was started with the idea of raising money to pay for an interpreter to be on duty at the hospital over the weekend, but is now an integral part of the organisation.

The shop is manned by a team of volunteers who work in groups of 3 on the day of their choice. By advertising in the local English press, people know that they can bring their surplus clothing and other goods and donate it so that it can be sold at a fair and reasonable price to the public who have come to realise what excellent bargains can be had. Such is the quality of some of the donated clothing, that Martha has a 'Boutique Corner' which is proving to be a great attraction for discerning customers.

Volunteers are always welcome to help in the shop. Please phone Martha on 96-642-2988 (mornings only). Besides the good work the volunteer’s do, it is a pleasant social atmosphere where valuable friendships are made.

Sales at the shop have been such that as well as funding the weekend interpreting service, we have been able to add to the stocks of equipment available for loan. (See 'Equipment for Loan') and the general fund for helping those with short term medical requirements in these times of need.

If you wish to donate any items to the shop - it would be helpful if you could bring it at a time when the shop is open. Please do not leave anything in the street or in the doorway entrance whilst the shop is closed.
