TEULADA & MORAIRA "HELP" INFORMATION

The main activities of the “HELP” of Denia and Marina Alta volunteers are centred on Denia hospital and our “HELP” Centre and Charity Shop in La Xara.
At the local level the team of volunteers living in the Tuelada/Moraira area are involved in supporting in their area and adjacent locations with advice, information and practical assistance where possible.
The working language of the group is English, but details of Spanish/English interpreters can be obtained on request.
Practical assistance is provided by the loan of mobility aids such as wheelchairs, walking frames, arm crutches, toilet lifts, etc, which are held in the area. Other items of equipment are available at our centre in La Xara.
We are always in need of more volunteers:
- To drive people to hospital or the local clinics
- Interpreters
- Can you help the temporarily housebound or incapacitated people?
- Have you experience in care work?
- Would you be able to relieve relations or permanent carers to allow them some respite?
More important could you “HELP” us to “HELP” those who need our “HELP” with the simple things in life like a smile and a friendly chat?
